America, Car Wash

America excites. A wideAmerica, a land of promise, a land of neon. There is nothing that cannot be done if wished. A land of endless roads and movement. There is a slight feeling of nostalgia too, old 1950s films on a Sunday afternoon. Diners and Drive-Thrus, creamy shakes and the scent of sweet pancakes and syrup. I loved this sign in Chicago, extolling the virtues of a clean car in exchange for a few dollars. It was striking and blue and irresistible.
Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.4 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.
