A lovely day in a French city, the heat pleasant, the air redolent of good food, of garlic, pizza base, melted cheese and coffee. There is a buzz, like old times, a vibration of joy, of joie de vivre. I loved the view of this corner, the old stone, the shadow, the angles and the light. I decided to paint it. It is a great souvenir of France, a love gift for summer.
Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.
