Chicago, Cinema, Ice Cream and Soda (2018)

Oak Park, a suburb of Chicago, basking in the heat of an American summer. I was struck by the iconic shapes and colours of the cinema, a longing for a more innocent, idealised and filtered version of the past, a world of milk shakes and burgers, of huge cars, of hazy meadows. A world where anything is possible, a land where dreams come true. Scents of buttery pop corn and baking, a sense of anticipation. https://www.artfinder.com/product/the-evocative-sadness-of-an-american-cinema/#/
