Return to No-Man’s Land, Berlin, 2014

Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. When I was a young man I walked alone, on a dark, cloudy February night, and I discovered a gap in the wall that had, until a short time earlier, separated two worlds. I ventured into the formerly lethal wilderness of no-man’s land. More than two decades later I return to the same spot, but a new world has sprung up, a world of light and choice and money.
